It’s almost February, which means that are students are gearing up to start the school year again. School begins this year on February 5th and we are looking forward to a great year.
Sponsorship received all of the school supplies and uniforms last week. Here is just an idea of how many things we order for the school year:
Notebooks – 6,260
Pencils- 2,800
Pens- 3,000
Foam paper with and without glitter- 9,000
Glue- 2,500
We buy a lot to get our students ready and to prepare for the year. The store we partnered with this year was incredible and delivered all our supplies in a giant truck that barely fit on the mission base. With lots of our sweet helpers, we got the truck unloaded, counted EVERYTHING, organized uniforms, and found places to put all the supplies. A few days later, everyone showed up again to help put all the supplies into backpacks for the start of the school year packet. These backpacks are so full and are currently shoved into every corner of our office waiting to be given out at parent/student meetings.
