I want to be able to take time to spotlight specific students sometimes who have made incredible achievements this year. Without Limits has so many incredibly bright students whose grades are consistently in the top of their classes. However, we have some students who I have seen grow SO much this year and have surprised me every time I get their report cards.
VIRGINIA: The first year of high school can be difficult for many students and Virginia just started this year. Throughout elementary school, Virginia struggled to get the grades I knew she could. Whether it was lack of interest or something else, I’m not sure, but this year Virginia is rocking it! Her grades are averaging in the upper 80% and she is so proud of herself. I can’t wait to see what she does!
GUADELUPE: Guadelupe is in her 4th year of high school. She has always been smart, caring, and creative. Last year, she lacked some direction and self-discipline. Guadelupe went on Without Limits’ field trip to Matagalpa. On this field trip, we talked about short-term and long-term goals. Since then, she has been more focused and her grades have shot up! She attends a bigger and more academically challenging school and I have been so impressed by her determination despite that.
TITO: Tito has been in our sponsorship program since he was small. He has a sweet and tender heart even though you might not guess that from his always hyper, rambunctious spirit. School has never been easy for him despite his family’s help. He is in 6th grade, which is his last year of elementary school. After receiving the first report card, we were unsure if he would pass for the year. He has been working hard to complete all homework and study for tests. On his last report card, his grades averaged in the 80%! I am so proud of him and can’t wait to watch him graduate in December!
XIOMARA: Xiomara is also in her last year of elementary school. She lives in Santa Matilde and attends a weekly Without Limits tutoring sessions. School is challenging for her but this year, she has worked so hard! She has improved her grades and more importantly is now more self-confident than ever before!
I am constantly amazed by our students. Without Limits is striving to empower these kids to be bold, confident, and powerful.
