FINANCIALLY
This ministry will be ongoing, year after year. Therefore, there will continually be a need for financial help to help pay for uniforms, equipment, field maintenance, full-time employees, transportation, etc. Please, remember that the people of this area barely have enough to pay for life’s basics and have no extra money for recreation. Therefore, we are looking for financial help in the following ways:
- Team Sponsorships – This would be a $1,000.00 tax deductible gift from businesses, sports teams, churches, or individuals. We will be connecting each sponsored team with their sponsor group through social media so that each sponsor can see how their gift is truly impacting the kids.
- Monthly Gifts – This would be a $25.00 or more tax deductible gift from individuals or businesses. All donors will receive recreation updates through social media to see the difference they are making.
- One Time Gift – This would be any financial donation of any amount. All donors will receive recreation updates through social media to see the difference they are making.
- Online Giving – Go to newsongnica.org. Press ‘donate’ and designate ‘Sports Ministry’.
- Send By Mail – Donate by mail to:

DONATE SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Very few kids in this area have gloves, bats, balls, etc. Because of this, we will be collecting new and used bats here in the United States to send to Nicaragua. There will be a need for the following:
- Softball/Baseball gloves
- Softball/Baseball bats
- Softball/Baseball catcher’s gear
- Softballs/Baseballs
- Softball/Baseball helmets
- Equipment bags
All equipment can be shipped or delivered to the following address or we can pick it up:
Stan Dobner
9524 Heritage lane
Indian Trail, NC 28079
SPORTS CLINICS
We are currently looking for baseball and/or softball teams to come for a week to provide clinics for kids between the ages of 7-16. Along with teaching baseball skills, an opportunity to share the Gospel is present during this week. The team would have the chance to lead Wednesday night youth group, a Friday night church activity, and Sunday school, as well as having short Bible studies each day during the clinics. It is a unique opportunity to develop team chemistry while sharing the most important message one could share.
Budget
This budget is based on a team with 13 people or less (including coaches) and a free day that would include going to a nearby city, Leon, and a beach.
We hope that you strongly consider bringing your team down to our beautiful community. We know that the Lord will bless your time here in an amazing way. For more information on the mission organization itself please check out our website www.newsongnica.org and for more information regarding sports ministry and trip information please email Jeff Beale at bealejm@appstate.edu. We look forward to hearing from you! Blessings!
