Jeff was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. He was brought up in a Christian family and was baptized as a teenager. After high school, Jeff attended Appalachian State University where he double majored in Accounting and Finance. Upon graduating in May of 2013 he did a 2-month summer internship with New Song. Despite having plans of pursuing a Master’s degree in the fall of 2013 Jeff decided to take a year off and work with a small mission organization in Santiago, Chile. While in Chile Jeff felt God pulling on his heart to return to Nicaragua. Jeff answered the call and decided to come back to New Song full time.
Jeff has a heart for children and sports and hopes to incorporate both of his loves for Kingdom work as he leads New Song’s sports ministry. Having grown up playing basketball, baseball, and soccer Jeff understands the type of avenue sports can be in impacting young people and hopes to draw in kids who otherwise would not be reached and share the love of Christ with them. Along with leading the sports ministry, Jeff is applying his knowledge of finance and accounting to help with projects at New Song and he is also involved with our youth specifically focusing on discipling teenage boys.
