The Lord has birthed 4 churches through New Song in nearby rural communities that were extremely poor, both spiritually and physically.
We are blessed to have 4 Pastors with integrity, whose hearts burn for the people to know Jesus and His love. These pastors and the leadership of their churches are receiving weekly training and encouragement. They understand, proclaim and apply the New Covenant principles and are multiplying disciples who are experiencing the transforming power of grace. These churches are manifesting the love of God, creating true Christian communities, which impact the whole area around them.
We are seeing people become Christians and come alive through biblical teaching in the main services, as well as smaller groups that have been arranged to meet specific focus areas. We are baptizing new believers, disciplining them to mature in their faith and reach out to others.
Our church in Candelaria is the most developed. We have been serving here for over ten years now, and it is our mission hub. The church name is Canto Nuevo (New Song). It has over 200 active members made up of roughly: 150 children, 40 youth, and 30 adults. Services, bible studies, and other activities make up a typical five-day week. The mission house, medical/dental clinic, vegetable garden, and sports fields are at this church site. Click here to read more about Canto Nuevo.
Our church in Santa Matilde is the second most developed. We have been serving here since 2007, thanks in large to a congregation in Huntersville, NC. The church name is Fuente de Aqua Viva (Fountain of Living Water). It has nearly 100 active members made up of roughly: 80 children, 10 youth, and 10 adults. Our newest church plant is in Nuevo Amanecer (New Dawn). It began in 2011 when Pastor Bismark, the main overseer, visited the community evangelizing. He felt called to start the church Manantial de Vida (Wellspring of Life). There is a church in south Florida with a big heart for this pastor and community. It has around 50 active members made up of roughly: 40 children and 10 adults. Click here to read more about Manantial de Vida.
Our church in Guanacastal/La Isla meets between the two communities. This community has the most devastating physical poverty of the villages in which we work. Pastor Pablo Campos has been serving here faithfully since 2007, when New Song felt to plant a church in the area. The church is named Rios de Aqua Viva (Rivers of Living Water).
